Elizabeth Barrett is a nationally recognized leader of corporate talent, culture, leadership and operations. Barrett crafted the award winning culture at The Container Store and was instrumental in building the organization during her more than two decades with the company, including 16 years as VP of Operations. She created an environment that inspired trust, developed loyal and passionate employees and produced very satisfied and enthusiastic customers. During her tenure, the company grew from 2 to 28 stores between 1981 and 2002.
The Container Store was recognized as The Best Company to Work for in America by Fortune Magazine in 1999 and 2000, and ranked in the Top 5 for 4 consecutive years. Barrett managed store operations, HR, compensation programs and People Practices which included the renowned 235 hour training program for incoming employees. She also managed the company’s $30mm (28-store) payroll. By creating recruiting tactics and standards focused on clever outreach, stellar candidates, and artful matching of talent to position, The Container Store positioned itself as an Employer of Choice.

Barrett joined Delivery Limited in 2005 as President and CEO. Delivery Limited is the premier white glove relocation, delivery and storage firm in Dallas for discerning clients and the design trade and the company has served clients nationally since 1978. She has added new divisions with her vision to create even more of a one stop shop approach to a household move: professional organizers, fine art services, and a crating and shipping division. Barrett’s philosophies fit like a glove with yet another respected Dallas company and brand which prides itself on attracting employees who are professionals and by creating viable careers alongside a loyal clientele of over more than three decades. Barrett manages all operations, staffing, marketing and client relations for Delivery Limited.
A native of Lake Placid, NY, Barrett attended Hobart and William Smith Colleges and received her BA in French in 1981.
